What’s Advanced Edition?

As of Q4, 2024 Atlassian launched and Early Access Program (EAP) for selected Atlassian Marketplace Partners to start offering Apps Editions (Standard and Advanced) to Marketplace Clients. It’s expect that throughout 2025 Apps Editions will become de facto a standard for Atlassian Marketplace allowing partners to segment functionality and pricing for clients and let clients choose the solution that suits them best at a proper cost.

Throughout this documentation all the features that are available for Advanced Edition only are marked as

Any Prerequisites?

Yes, your Jira instance need to be on New Billing Engine to be eligible for ADVANCED EDITION. Atlassian is expecting to migrate all instances to New Billing Engine by early 2025. You can reach out to https://support.atlassian.com/ and check if you are on New Billing Engine.

We will check it anyway if you decide to join our EAP to let you know. There’s also a chance that your instance will be prioritized to migrate to New Billing Engine if you decide to participate.
