[Forge Migration][2026-03-20] Outstanding Atlassian Connect modules for Release Management App will be deprecated as of Mar 21, 2026

Confirmation

We removed outstanding Atlassian Connect modules as of Mar 21, 2026.

Summary

  • The last Atlassian Connect module will be deprecated.

  • This concerns the App Lifecycle module.

  • No impact is expected on ongoing operations; any effect may be limited to new installations only.

  • As this change is categorized by the Atlassian Platform as a major update, we kindly ask you to click the “Upgrade” button in the Admin section of your Jira instance.

  • This is not a blocker for the app’s ongoing operation or performance.

Introduction

Since the last upgrade, we moved most of our modules from Atlassian Connect to Atlassian Forge keeping only Lifecycle module.

It’s time to drop it as well.

Changes

We are deprecating the last Atlassian Connect module from our App - Lifecycle module - to have 100% of modules on Forge while we still going to keep Egress to our proprietary backend residing in AWS-us-east-1.

What’s the impact?

No impact is expected for ongoing operation. Since it’s Lifecycle module and it’s responsible for install/uninstall events it might impact only new trials joining.

And if we see there’s an impact for new trials that we cannot overcome we will roll back the change.

What I need to change?

Since we are removing one model from App manifest it’s considered a major change by Atlassian Platform and will require a manual Upgrade (click Upgrade button) in your instance Apps Admin section.

Any important considerations about the change?

No.

The App will work properly this Upgrade or w/o Upgrade but we would still appreciate you click the button to keep the flow going.
