[Forge Migration][2026-04-06] Migration to Cross-Product App (API Tokens Removed)

  • API Tokens Removed for “Confluence” Access as of Apr 7, 2026

  • API Tokens Removed for “Compass” Access as of Apr 16, 2026

  • API Tokens Removed for “Related Work, Your Property & Driver” Access as of XX.YY.ZZ

Summary

We are removing access to other Atlassian Products via API Tokens and substituting it with Forge-native connectors. The scope includes

  • Confluence access for Release Notes export

  • Compass access (Compass App will be deprecated shortly as well)

  • Access to Release specific Related Work, Your Property & Driver Information

Access to Development Information will still require API token to access (pending Atlassian solution for access)

Introduction

Being fully on Forge we now can introduce Cross-Product App functionality and therefore remove API access tokens for number of related Atlassian Products, namely:

  • Confluence

  • Compass

  • Release specific Related Work, Your Property & Driver Information

Changes

What’s the impact?

Existing connections to above mentioned Atlassian Products might stop working. Unfortunately we can't reconnect automatically as this is how Cross-Product App functionality is designed by Atlassian.

What I need to change?

2 steps process.

First, this upgrade is considered a major change by Atlassian Platform and will require a manual Upgrade (click Upgrade button) in your instance Apps Admin section.

Second, you would need to connect other Atlassian Products to our App in “Connected Apps” section of Jira Admin as outlined on below screenshot:

Any important considerations about the change?

Well.

If you do not use our Code Integration functionality (that’s still require API tokens to access) you might want to Revoke the previously used API tokens. Please also check these tokens are not used somewhere else.
