We use some predefined color coding for milestones to visually differentiate them, namely

  • Grey - not achieved and not delayed

  • Red - Not achieved and delayed

  • Orange - achieved and delayed

  • Green - achieved and not delayed

Milestones on Roadmap and Calendar views (incl. Gadgets)

All Once configured all the Milestones that fits the boundaries of the version / package will be outlined on the timeline. The rest of milestones with dates below “Start date” and/or above “Release date” won't be outlined.

All the “Achieved“ milestones are colored in Green. All the missed ones are depicted in Red. The future milestones are Grey’ed-out.

You can adjust milestones on the roadmap with drag-and-drop. The dates will be adjusted accordingly.

The same functionality exists in timeline Gadget.

milestones that matches Start/End dates of your plan items will be shown automatically on the Roadmap. The color coding matching matching the color described in the section above.

On Roadmap view specifically you can also move Milestones and amend planned date accordingly. To do so put a mouse on milestone. The cursor will change. Click on it and move left/right to amend the planned date.

On the Calendar view Milestones are not shown automatically. If you want to see them in addition to End Dates of your items toggle on appropriate setting in menu ribbon.

In addition to Roadmap and Calendar view Milestones are also shown in Roadmap and Calendar Gadgets (for Calendar you need to configure this option specifically)
