Release Management Dashboard Gadgets for Jira

Release Management turns any Jira dashboard into a live release management dashboard β€” a single view of where every release stands, built from your release boards.

Instead of opening the app or pinging teams for status, stakeholders see progress, scope changes, burnup forecasts, release calendars, and delivery cadence right where they already work. Because the gadgets live inside Jira, there's no separate tool to log into and no data to export.

Each gadget pulls from a release board you choose, so the same dashboard can mix a high-level package view for leadership with detailed per-version charts for delivery teams. You can add a free-text description to most gadgets to give business or technical context next to the data, and set auto-refresh to keep everything current.

This page is the index for the full set. The most-used gadgets have their own detailed pages (linked below); the rest are documented in full further down.

Gadget

Description

Progress Gadget

To Do / In Progress / Done counts and percentages for a version or package, with click-through to the Issue Navigator.

Release Burnup Chart Gadget

Completed vs. total scope over time, with a projected release date once 30% of scope is done.

Scope Change Gadget

Issues added to and removed from a release over a chosen period, so scope creep stays visible.

Release Calendar Gadget

Versions and releases on a calendar view, colour-coded (releases blue, versions green).

Release Frequency Report & Gadget

(Advanced) β€” how often you ship, by release date or status change; the in-Jira view of DORA deployment frequency.

Looking for lead time, cycle time, or velocity? Those metrics live in our Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards and Issue Health apps, not in Release Management.

Exporting gadgets to Confluence

Atlassian Cloud does not export third-party gadgets to Confluence, and the old gadget macro was removed. See How to Export Jira Gadgets to Confluence for a workaround using wallboard mode and the iframe macro.
