Migration Guide
As of now (Nov 11th, 2024) we do not have a tool for migration automation. We also do not have it on roadmap.
Manual Migration
We suggest you to use Automated Migration Assistance from Atlassian to migrate all your data (projects, issues, versions, components, etc.). Once it’s done you would need to re-create your favorite Advanced Kanban and Agile Boards manually.
It’s actually much easier as it might sound.
If you use the configuration with automatically generated swimlanes and columns the App will create it automatically and you would need just transfer specific Column/Swimlane configuration like WIP, Aging Limits; Returns Counters; Flow Efficiency Settings and Thresholds; etc. Otherwise you would need to create columns and swimlanes manually.
Following it we suggest to re-create Column Groups with all the configurations.
And finally, your set of Quick filters and Predefined Views.
That’s it!

Functionality parity
We just (Nov, 2024) launched Data Center version and closing the gap to Cloud shortly. This should narrow to almost zero shortly.
The below table outlines the features gap due to specific of Cloud vs Data Center platforms in general.

Not supported by Nave. Please reach out to support link below if you want it for Data Center Version. | |
Cloud has a better defined hierarchy of issue so you can create multi-level boards and dependencies. In Data Center version this is somewhat limited and pre-defined. |
Add Editions
Cloud App has 2 editions - Standard and Advanced (parity to Data Center).
Thus, while migrating you have to choose Advanced Edition to use the same feature set. Otherwise, you can use a downgraded Standard version.
We suggest to kick off a trial with Cloud solution before you decide to migrate to check all the features you use in Data Center versions. Any assistance you might need on the way please contact our support team.
